Music Legacy Open Competition Application Form

Rules and Requirements
    1. US International Contestants need to perform 2 pieces from different historical periods:
      • Baroque
      • Classical
      • Romantic
      • Contemporary
    2. Division and Time Limits:

    3. Age cut date – 3 months before Competition date.
    4. All pieces must be performed by memory.
    5. Original music only. No copies or simplified versions will be accepted.
    6. Judges will award First, Second, and Third Places. All other participants will receive Participation  Certificates. Special prizes may be awarded in the Advanced category.
    7. All decisions of the judges are final
    8. First, Second and Third place winners within the Elementary, Intermediate, Junior and Advanced divisions will receive a 20% discount on application fees for any other competitions during the year 2022. (Please indicate on the application the specific date, year, and division ).

                           Video Guidelines

        1. All videos have to be recorded horizontally.(no videos with wide dark fields will be published)
        2. The hands and face of the participant should be visible during the entire recording, as well as the keyboard and pedal (for Piano contestants)
        3. Participants should be dressed in an appropriate manner.
        4. All pieces have to be memorized.
        5. Cutting and merging multiple takes is not allowed
        6. The video should be posted on YouTube with the following title:  Music Legacy International Open Competition
        7. Participant name, age, instrument (for ensemble only), City, and Country must be in the description field. Please also list the title, key, and composer of the piece
